Sometimes you don't want to holiday where everyone else does, you want to try somewhere different. So I've been doing research into some hidden gems across Europe. These hotels all have something special about them, which will provide you will a fantastic, memorable holiday experience. In no particular order... 4* Suite Hotel Atlantic, Corralejo, Fuerteventura

Situated in a peaceful location on the edge of the vibrant resort of Corralejo, Suite Hotel Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort is a smart all-suite all inclusive hotel, promising an extra special stay for both families and couples. Being low rise and on the flat, this hotel is also ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The kids club offer theme days where children can be chefs, film stars, etc, and the animations team are fantastic with children and adults alike. It has a wide range of sports facilities, including a gym. There are 6 bars, 6 restaurants, 8 outdoor pools, plus a complementary shuttle bus to Corralejo's famous sand dunes. You have the option to upgrade to the Premium Club, which brings you access to added adult only facilities.

4* Eden Resort, Albufiera, Portugal

This hotel is a villa resort, with five shared pools and other facilities. It is built in a pretty and traditional Portuguese style. This flexible resort offers SC through to AI board basis, so you can cook in your villa or have inclusive meals in the restaurants. One of the big positive is the infant concierge service, meaning there are many pieces of baby equipment that you won't need to pack and take with you. The resort also offers a shuttle service to the beach four times daily.

4* Abora Buenaventura by Lopesan Hotels, Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria

This newly refurbished 24 hour all inclusive hotel is in a prime location within the resort. It is open year round, so you could have a winter sun holiday here. The hotel benefits from 3 outdoor pools, a children's play area, sports facilities, excellent entertainment, games machines and a kids club which includes arts and crafts and games consoles. This hotel also provides rooms for single parent families at no additional supplement. You can also check-in for your return flight at the hotel, free of charge.

4* Mediterrano Bay Hotel, Roquetas de Mar, Spain

A beautiful, modern beachfront hotel. It is a family faviourite hotel, partly down to the fabulous pool with water slides suitable for a large age range. This hotel also has optional Premium and Gold Level rooms, which provide access to a greater range of restaurants, exclusive for Premium and Gold Level guests. The Gold Level rooms also benefit from free sunbeds at the pool.

4* Puerto Azul Suite Hotel, Puerto Pollensa, Majorca This is an all suite hotel, which also features adapted rooms and solo rooms. There is a kids club upto 14 years old, which is ideal for families who have older children. The hotel also offers cycling facilities. As one of Europe's top cycling destinations, this is a huge bonus for cyclists heading to Majorca. Something for everyone at this beautiful hotel.

4* Spring Hotel Vulcano, Playa de las Americas, Tenerife

This hotel is ideal for couples. It features Exclusive UP Service rooms, which are adult only, and offer an exclusive private lounge, exclusive pool, drinks and snacks, a chill out bar and terrace. This hotel has a lovely pool area, but is also close the to beach. It's modern style makes it a popular choice for younger couples too.

4* Destino Blue Hotel, Sidari, Corfu This new hotel for Summer 2020 is central, stylish, it has a beautiful spacious pool area, swim up rooms available, a spa, a gym, and is currently appealing to both couples and families. It is a short walk from the beach and the famuous Canal D'amour area of Sidari.

4* Iberostar Creta Marine, Rethymnon, Crete This hotel is ideal for families, as it has a kids club for ages 4-17. This higher age bracket is not fount at many hotels. The hotel is beachfront and has beautiful gardens. There are 5 bars and 3 restaurants, including an a la carte restaurant. The four outdoor pools are stunning. You can also enjoy the live professional shows on offer.

3* Hotel Sole Roma, Rome, Italy This typically Italian hotel provides a comfortable base for those wishing to easily access the many attractions of Rome. It is only 1.3 km from the stunning Trevi Fountain and 1.8 km from the Spanish Steps. The nearest bus stop is only 180 metres from the front door. Despite its central location, this hotel is peaceful and offers a relaxing roof terrace with views over the city.

4* Hotel Home Florence, Florence, Italy This is an exceptionally sleek, modern boutique hotel in the heart of Florence alongside the Arno River. This villa-style building has a beautiful roof terrace with stunning city views. There is a bus stop 100 metres from the door. The hotel also has a small gym. Ideal for couples, however the hotel also features single rooms for sole use, making it ideal for solo travellers or business users who want something different to a typical business hotel.

4* FERGUS Style Bahamas, Playa D'En Bossa, Ibiza

In the vibrant resort of Playa D'En Bossa, this beachfront hotel is located on Ibiza's longest beach. With a modern style, this hotel has comfortable accommodation sleeping upto 4 people per room. It has a fantastic pool scene, with a spacious terrace. There are themed restaurants, a kids club, spa, and an option for an all inclusive board basis.

3* Camping Tucan, Lloret de Mar, Spain The small and friendly Camping Tucan is a firm favourite among camping enthusiasts. The large swimming pool boasts 2 fun water slides and a splash pool for the little ones. Modern accommodation, restaurant, bar, bakery and a wide range of sports facilities and activities are other key features of this holiday resort. It is also within walking distance to all the attractions of Lloret de Mar.

3* Globales Binimar, Cala'n Forcat, Menorca

The sandy Calas Piques cove is just 150 metres from this hotel and the resort centre is 400 metres away. Perfect for families, you can unwind by the pool, and little ones will love the splash park and the kids club. There is an all inclusive board basis option and a dedicated children's menu too. Entertainment is a great feature of this hotel, and if you would prefer to enjoy it without the kids, there is a baby-sitting service.

4* Agua Azul Hotel, Benidorm, Spain

This is a modern adult only hotel, in a central location within Benidorm. It is both close to the beach and has easy access to the old town. This hotel offers BB through to AI board basis, making it flexible enough to suit the needs of all guests.

3* Spatz Aparthotel, Krakow, Poland This hotel gets and exceptional 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor, and has won various awards, so they are definitely doing something right. Maybe it is the central location in the Kazimierz District, the spacious rooms, the a la carte restaurant or the cocktail bar. Why don't you visit and find out for yourself!
